EASY HIKE FOR PEOPLE WITHOUT PREVIOUS HIKING EXPERIENCE After the pick up from hotels, we head towards the East to get to Escarpados Beacon to begin the trail. We will enter the cultural and provincial reserve “Playa Larga” located by the Beagle Channel shores. The trail takes us close to evergreen trees shaped like flags by the strong winds. We can find the well-known calafate plant and abundant fuegian flora. This area also stands out for its cultural legacy from our sea canoers: there are yagan shell middens dating back 6000 years. Finally we will reach Tunel Ranch which was dedicated to cattle farming, was a sawmill and a factory for oil barrels.
