MODERATE HIKE FOR PEOPLE WITHOUT PREVIOUS HIKING EXPERIENCE BUT WITH
A GOOD FITNESS LEVEL.
We get to the starting point by following national route 3 for about 17 kilometers; we begin
the hike at the trail’s parking lot, which quickly takes us deep into the forest.
The trail takes us close to a beaver dam and crosses the valley until finding a peat bog,
where it will follow the Esmeralda river all the way to its source in the Esmeralda lagoon.
After a final climb, we will get to the lagoon: frozen in the winter and dazzling us with its
stunning color during the summer.
If the weather is good enough, we will have lunch by the lagoon with a breathtaking view of
the Albino glacier, the lagoon, and the surroundings.
Afterward, we will take the same trail back to the transfer that will take you to your hotel.
IMPORTANT: In the event that the passenger does not show up or the guide deems them unfit to participate in the activity, the excursion will be forfeited without the right to a refund.
Changes or cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice incur a 100% penalty.
